Dr Dominic Beer

Dominic Beer was consultant psychiatrist at The Bracton Centre, Oxleas NHS Foundation and Trust and Honorary Senior Lecturer, The Institute of Psychiatry, University of London.

Dr Beer led a low secure mental health challenging behaviour service at the Bracton Centre, Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust, and published research on patients exhibiting challenging behaviour. He co-founded the National Association of Psychiatric Intensive Care and Low Secure Units (NAPICU). His co-edited textbook, Psychiatric Intensive Care, is the first such textbook in the world.

Darryl Anthony Davis, BA, MA

Research and development and knowledge management facilitator, Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust.

Anthony supports clinicians undertaking research and leads on knowledge management within the Trust. He has published research on the use of information technology by people with serious mental illness and the process of ethical review within the NHS. He has a background and interest in the philosophy and ethics of mental health, particularly the concept of self and its effects upon psychiatric practice.
