Dominic Beer was consultant psychiatrist at The Bracton Centre, Oxleas NHS Foundation and Trust and Honorary Senior Lecturer, The Institute of Psychiatry, University of London.
Dr Beer led a low secure mental health challenging behaviour service at the Bracton Centre, Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust, and published research on patients exhibiting challenging behaviour. He co-founded the National Association of Psychiatric Intensive Care and Low Secure Units (NAPICU). His co-edited textbook, Psychiatric Intensive Care, is the first such textbook in the world.
