Dr Santosh Bangar

Locum Consultant Old Age Psychiatrist

 

Dr Bangar, after completing his CCT in Old Age Psychiatry, works in a locum role. He successfully completed his PG Diploma in Neuropsychiatry from the University of Birmingham. He is involved in teaching medical students and core trainees and continues to pursue his interest in neuropsychiatry, both in clinical work and academic activities.

 

His current clinical role includes memory clinic, care home liaison and managing dementia crisis both in community and care homes.

Dr Abhishek Shastri, MBBS, PG Dip Psychiatry, MPhil, MRCPsych

Specialist Registrar in Older Adult & General Adult Psychiatry, Central & North West London NHS Foundation Trust.

 

Dr Shastri is a Specialist Registrar in Older Adult & General Adult Psychiatry, currently training at Central & North West London NHS Foundation Trust. He has an interest in neuropsychiatry and dementias. He completed his MPhil in Biological Sciences from Brunel University, London working in the field of neuro-inflammation & went on to gain his Membership of Royal College of Psychiatrists while training in Dorset.

 

He has published well-cited articles in the field of neuro-inflammation and has given presentations at several conferences in the UK. He is also closely involved in supervision of undergraduate students and with clinical research at Imperial College, London.

 


John Holmes, MA, MD, FRCP(Edin), FRCPsych

Dr John HolmesSenior Lecturer in Liaison Psychiatry of Old Age, University of Leeds.

 

Dr Holmes established the first dedicated liaison psychiatry service for older people at Leeds General Infirmary in 1999. He trained in general medicine, old age psychiatry and liaison psychiatry, and was previously a community-based consultant in old age psychiatry in Leeds.

 

Dr Holmes has retired from clinical work and continues to pursue his interests in extracurricular activities.
